Tuesday 28th February

We had a great opening of the OKcafe yesterday with a Poetry evening hosted by Dominic Berry – thanks to all who came and took part!

We’re open from 12 till midnight in our exciting new location and there’s still plenty of decorating to do and help needed to set the space up. Pop down today for tea, workshops & events….

Check out our programme page for the events on the rest of the week, and here’s what we have lined up for today:

18:00 – 20:00 Move Your Money: Planning

We are all aware that the big banks have caused this financial crisis, come along, learn and plan for a campaign in Manchester for economic change!

19:00 – 22:00 Eurozone: What’s Happening?

What’s happening in the Eurozone? Why do we need to understand the crisis and how should it inform our action?

20:00 – 22:00 Plan C MCR Presents… Kino Cafe – Work: Relationships and Revolution

The Wrestler (2008, 109 mins)

We start off our series with award winning movie The Wrestler. Micky Rourke stars as a fading wrestler coming to terms with his fading health and loneliness in the heart of America. The film takes a close look at the strange relationship we have with our work.
